Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate

FAQ's

Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate is mainly used in fertilizers to correct manganese deficiency in crops. It is also used to manufacture manganese metal, produce other manganese compounds and as a laboratory reagent in chemical research.

Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate and magnesium sulfate are different chemical compounds with different uses. Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate contains manganese which can trace mineral for bone formation. while magnesium sulfate contains magnesium, a major mineral needed for muscle and nerve function.

Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate is also known as manganese(II) sulfate monohydrate. The chemical formula of the compound is MnSO₄·H₂O.

Manganese sulfate monohydrate is produced by reacting manganese-rich ores or manganese-containing byproducts with sulfuric acid in the presence of a reducing agent. The resulting solution is purified to remove impurities like iron and other heavy metals, then concentrated and crystallized to obtain the stable pink monohydrate crystals.
