Application of Silver Protein Acetyltannate

  • Silver Protein Acetyltannate is also incorporated into topical throat and oral formulations, including gargles or mucosal applications, to support hygiene and management of localized microbial conditions.
  • It has been used in certain ophthalmic preparations for mild external eye conditions. Protein-bound silver forms are generally considered less irritating compared to Silver Nitrate, although such applications are limited and subject to regional regulatory practices.
  • Additionally, it may be used in nasal preparations, such as drops or sprays, for the management of rhinitis and nasal mucosal irritation, owing to its mild antimicrobial and astringent properties.
